Happy Holidays!

With the holidays, there comes great cheer and celebration of very symbolic events. It also can’t be denied that the holidays create a shift in the moods of people, places and things. I’m holding all of you in my most peaceful of intentions as we make our way through the hustle and bustle of the season. My heart goes out to those of you missing loved ones, getting your fair share of family craziness and just plain stress. My wish is for you to embrace the joys of the season so that you can enjoy the meaning and spirit of this precious time of year. I’m keeping you warm in my heart as we continue on this adventure!

International Coach Federation Conference

In November I attended my first ever ICF conference and joined 1,300 coaches from around the world. We gathered in Denver for a week of connection, inspiration, learning and growth. It was all the proof I needed to know that coaching is a valuable and thriving profession, one I am so honored to claim as my own.

One of the highlights was spending time with my Newfield Network mentor coach, Curtis. He lives in Carmel, NY and it was only the 2nd time in my life of actually seeing him in-person. We coached over the phone for 9 months during my coach training program. He claims that I don’t need him anymore – that I’m on my way. HA! But what he doesn’t realize is that his voice (and laughter) always echoes in my heart and mind when I’m faced with the breakdowns in my life. He continues to guide me because I have a hunch about the curious questions he would toss my way.

Besides connecting with other coaches and realizing the gifts that we bring to each other and the people we serve, I did learn a thing or two in the breakout sessions. Are you ready for this one? I attended a session called “Creating A Six Figure Practice in 90 Days”. You better watch out for me! I also learned about writing and publishing a book. Believe me - the wheels are turning but I’m not sure which direction I’m heading with this one yet! Do any of my Buddies out there want to pursue this path with me or on their own? Hey, let’s talk!

  Thank You, Coach Curtis

Coaching Testimonials

"Living is a form of not being sure, not knowing what next or how. The moment you know how, you begin to die a little. The artist never entirely knows. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark."

~ Agnes de Mile, American dancer-choreographer

As promised, here are some thoughts directly from the people I’m coaching with. A HUGE thanks to my coachees for sharing their successes! Please read on and consider the possibility of coaching with me as you transition into 2004.

Jackie, I’m loving this process! Thank you for helping me to explore and organize my passions and goals.

Sara – Realtor

WOW! I had never participated in a coaching relationship before and was not sure what to expect. I'm so impressed with Jackie and the coaching process. I feel ALIVE again and my life is more rewarding and filled with hope, promise and passion! Jackie exudes a positive energy and a passion for life and coaching which is contagious! She assisted me in “crossing the line” with some personal obstacles which were holding me back from fully experiencing the life I knew I could lead. I often reflect on Jackie and the skills she brought to our coaching relationship to guide me during more stressful times. I've learned to trust my gut and listen to the wisdom within to guide me in making life and daily choices which are keeping me present in the moment and more open to the beauty of life around me. I’m so grateful to Jackie for her gift as a coach. She is AMAZING! Thanks, Jackie!

Sherri – Website Designer/Business Owner

This is all making sense now. You have helped me a lot and I am sure you can help other "working mothers" who forget about themselves. My coaching relationship has helped me “listen” to myself when all I seem to hear are the day-to-day challenges in my life.

Sharon – Bank Manager

I want to share special moments with you, long conversations, light and easy laughter. I want to tell you all of the things that happen in my life, the feelings that are kept secret from the rest of the world but not from you. I want you to know how good the closeness of our coaching relationship makes me feel and how wonderful it is to call you my coach!

Kathy – Massage Therapist/CRA Practitioner/Business Owner

Our coaching opened up my eyes. It showed me perspectives I didn’t think of and couldn’t see at first. It helped me with my family life and my career. I am very grateful for our conversations.

Dawn – Store Manager

The ability to confide in you in both my personal and professional life is of insurmountable value to me. I love having my coaching session while we walk. It brings together all aspects that I’m working on. I trust you. You are so much fun to be around. You make me feel good about me. My family loves me – I know. But having an outside source that also validates me is a huge boost to my confidence. You encourage me use my critical thinking skills by not answering the questions. Instead you give me the space to search for the answer, even if it doesn’t instantly appear or I have to think about it. Jackie, you are an awesome, outstanding, special person. You are diplomatic, tactful and supportive of my feelings and those around me. You make me go outside my comfort zone which I need in order to continually grow. Thank you so much for your coaching, your support and your guidance. I feel such a personal connection with you!

Doris – Business Manager

I am SO enjoying our coaching and it is extremely valuable to me. You make me think about what’s really important to me. I have such a good feeling about all the things that will come as a result of our work together. It’s interesting and fun to look at my assignments with a curious and open intention. Reading comments that other people wrote about me was a real eye opener. I felt such an outpouring of love that I would never have experienced had I not entered into our coaching relationship. One of my favorite moments so far was the idea of how I am using my voice or not using my voice in conversations. I am becoming more aware of my own power and strength. Jackie is a very positive person. She acts as an advocate for me and her confidence in the process is contagious. She is just fun to talk with and it is enjoyable having a conversation with her. I find her intuition especially refreshing in getting to the hidden or not so obvious. Coaching gives you someone who is your cheerleader and a person who can offer their objective opinion and expertise in helping you grow and explore in some important aspects of your life. You have to be willing to do the work and show up for it. Jackie, thank you for your wonderful talents and gifts that you continue to bring to our work together.

Kristie – Teacher/Artist

Our coaching relationship has shifted me into being more responsible for my actions and life. I’m not blaming others as much as I used to.

Becky – Teacher

“Ah-Ha” Moments

"Taxes could be worse. Suppose we had to pay what we think we are worth?"                 ~ Anonymous

I live in one of those “old” houses. Many people ask me, “Hey, have you found anything cool in the walls, yet?” Now I can say a resounding YES! One day my dad and I were fiddling around with the pocket doors. Before we knew it they were sliding on the tracks like they did at the turn of the century. Later that day, John and my dad were fixing the locks. They found all kinds of goodies stuffed inside – pins, buttons, a horseshoe tack AND an Indian Head Penny from 1895. WOW! We jumped up and down thinking we were on the verge of richness! Well, it turns out the value is $2.50 on a GOOD day. Either way, this is still an exciting discovery – a unique treasure. We also found a quarter from the year 2000. Now, that’s a RARE find!

What discoveries of unique treasures are you making in your own life?

Gratitude

“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law:

The more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.”      ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach, Simple Abundance

I would like to genuinely express my appreciation to the people and organizations who I have connected with in the past couple months. Thank you!

My Dog - Glacier – Thanks for keeping me company each and every day by hanging out on your GIGANTIC beds (all 4 of them) and watching me work. What would it really be like to live a dog’s life?

Wisconsin Rapids Police Citizen’s Academy

John and I are officially graduates of the Wisconsin Rapids Police Citizen’s Academy! Can you believe we willingly spent 11 Wednesday evenings with our local police? Talk about fun! Seriously, it was a great experience of learning how our city keeps us safe. It’s a free program and the officers did an excellent job of teaching us about what they do. This photo is of me trying on the equipment that the Special Response Team wears. Talk about EXTRA weight. My GOSH! This stuff is heavy. And you’re supposed to run fast and sneaky this way? At least I didn’t fall over – right Officer Lampert?
